RULES FOR CHECKING OUT LIBRARY BOOKS
1.
Every student enrolled in
2. Students,
5-year kindergarten through the 12th grade, will be allowed to check
out books from the library.
3.
Students in 5-year kindergarten through 6th
grade will be allowed to check out a maximum of two books per week. If
only one book is returned on the due date, then no other books will be checked
out to that student until the other books are returned and the fine paid.
4.
Students in grades 7th through 12th
will be allowed to check out a maximum of 2 books for a two week
period.
5.
Students who do not return books on the date
due will be charged a fine of twenty cents ($.20) per school day
that the book is over-due. Also, the student will not be allowed
to check out other books until the fine is paid.
6.
If a book is lost or damaged, the student
will pay the replacement cost of the book.
7.
If the library is not open, books may be
placed in Mrs. Dodson's box in the school office. Fines may be paid at that
time or to Mrs. Dodson when she is in the library.
8.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE ARE MAGAZINES AND
REFERENCE MATERIALS TO BE REMOVED FROM THE LIBRARY.
9. All
books MUST be turned in before any interim period during the school year.
A STUDENT WHO FAILS TO RETURN BOOKS BEFORE THE INTERIM PERIOD WILL NOT BE
ALLOWED TO CHECK OUT BOOKS DURING THE NEXT NINE WEEKS PERIOD.
10. A STUDENT WHO IS ABSENT ON THE DAY THAT
HIS/HER BOOK IS DUE MUST RETURN THE BOOK ON THE DAY THAT HE/SHE RETURNS TO
SCHOOL. A FINE WILL BE COLLECTED FOR
EACH DAY THAT THE BOOK IS OVERDUE AFTER THE STUDENT RETURNS.
